Champions League: Real Madrid defeat Liverpool to win 14th title

Stade de France, Paris - Real Madrid have won a record-extending 14th Champions League title after defeating Liverpool 1-0 in the final at the Stade de France in Paris.

Vinicius Junior scored the only goal of the game in the 59th minute, as Real Madrid secured their fifth Champions League title in the last nine years.

The match was a cagey affair, with both teams having chances to score. However, it was Real Madrid who took their opportunity when it came, with Vinicius Junior finishing off a move involving Karim Benzema and Federico Valverde.

Liverpool pushed for an equaliser in the closing stages, but Real Madrid held on to secure the victory.

The win marks Carlo Ancelotti's fourth Champions League title as a manager, making him the most successful coach in the competition's history.
